Perry Homes Joins Arbor Day Foundation To Support Critical Forest Restoration Across Texas
HOUSTON, TX. (NOVEMBER 6, 2025) — As Texas Arbor Day approaches, Perry Homes, one of the region’s leading homebuilders, recently joined forces with the Arbor Day Foundation. To combat deforestation, Perry Homes has pledged to plant 50,000 longleaf pine trees across six private land tracts in Texas.
As the trees grow, the emerging forests will help address critical needs, including biodiversity and wildlife habitat restoration, while also increasing the ecological benefits these forests provide for the communities that depend on them. By investing in reforestation, Perry Homes is playing a vital role in supporting sustainability and preserving natural habitats for future generations.
“Forests and trees are fundamental to the health of our planet. As we approach Texas Arbor Day and reflect on the importance of environmental stewardship, we believe that restoring forests is a key step in creating a more sustainable future,” said Dan Morrow, Vice President of Partnerships at the Arbor Day Foundation. “We are grateful to Perry Homes for their commitment to reforestation and for helping us make a tangible impact in Texas.”
As part of the partnership, Perry Homes’ contribution will be allocated towards the cost of trees, tools, permitting, mulch, site preparation and project management. Building a home can require 20 or more fully mature trees, so this collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation aligns with Perry Homes’ broader commitment to environmental responsibility. In addition to building energy-efficient homes and prioritizing water conservation, Perry Homes is committed to creating communities that thrive in harmony with nature.
“At Perry Homes, giving back is one of our core values, and we recognize the important role we play in preserving our planet,” said Todd Chachere, Chief Executive Officer of Perry Homes. “We’re proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation to support reforestation efforts that will benefit both the environment and our communities for years to come.”
